Full Medical BiographyAt the Glaucoma & Laser Eye Center Athens, we apply the most advanced non-surgical and minimally invasive facial plastic and reconstructive techniques, performed without scalpels or incisions.
Using these methods, Prof. Vasileios Kozompolis provides immediate in-office solutions, without anesthesia, for problems that normally require blepharoplasty, as well as for the removal of folds, wrinkles, and skin laxity (face lifting).
These techniques (PLEXR, Needle Shaping) offer instant, painless, and long-lasting results without the inconvenience of surgery or anesthesia.
PLEXR: Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty
Skin laxity is an inevitable consequence of aging and, particularly on the face, it can cause not only cosmetic concerns but also functional problems. Excess skin around the eyes makes the eyes appear tired and adds years to one’s appearance.
The thought of conventional surgery naturally raises concerns and anxiety about postoperative complications. That’s why, at our eye center, we offer a non-invasive, suture-free technique to remove excess skin, avoiding the stress and inconvenience of traditional surgery.
A key advantage of this method is that it can be performed in-office, without affecting the underlying membrane of the area, thereby eliminating the risk of bleeding. Importantly, it leaves no scars, resulting in a perfect outcome. The PLEXR device uses the fourth state of matter: plasma.
The procedure targets eyelid folds and periocular wrinkles. Each session lasts only 15 minutes, with immediate visible results. Patients can return to daily activities and sports immediately. The treatment can also be combined with Botox and/or hyaluronic acid injections.
This method, already used internationally, is primarily applied to the eyelid area, providing a safe and effective alternative to traditional blepharoplasty.
